Living in your home during a renovation can be a nightmare. The first things that come to mind are a project that was supposed to take a day stretching into a week and, of course, dust everywhere. That’s why homeowners often ask: how long is it going to take?
At Easton Flooring, most of the time, our answer is one day. Let us tell you how.
What Does a Typical Install Day Look Like?
A flooring crew will show up between 8 and 9 in the morning. Then, they get to work. Here’s a quick breakdown:
- The old flooring comes out. Demo and cleanup, including hauling the old material to the truck, can take as little as an hour. Note that if tile removal is involved, it may take closer to two hours.
- After the old floor is out, the crew starts prepping the flooring as needed.
- Once the prep work is done, it’s time to install your new floors. This usually wraps up between 4 and 5 in the afternoon.
It’s that simple. The only note is if a job is running behind, we might not get out until 6 or 7, but we’d rather do that than come back the next morning for an hour or two of work.
That’s the one day install. We get it done so the homeowner can get back to normal life without worrying about a crew showing up the next day.
Why Does Getting It Done in a Day Matter?
Flooring is still a construction project. There’s dust and furniture to move. Plus, it won’t feel like a normal day in the house. That’s why we strive to keep the disruption to a minimum.
Part of that is having the right number of installers for the job. More hands make for easy work. That’s how we finish most installs in a single day. Generally, a job will only run into a second or third day if it’s an unusually large project.

What Can Homeowners Expect?
Every home is different. Every flooring material is unique. Because of this, it’s important for us to assess your space before providing an exact timeline.
Prep work adds time, especially when there are surprises underneath the old flooring. That said, our goal remains the same: get the crew in, get the work done right and get out so you can go back to living your life.
Ready for New Floors a Day Later?
A flooring project doesn’t have to feel like it goes on forever. The right crew and the right plan can get installs done in as little as a day. Demo done in the morning and finished by evening. At Easton Flooring, our team is efficient, but gets the job done right.
