Cork flooring is made from the bark of the cork tree. The most amazing thing about cork flooring is that it comes from the bark and not the entire tree, so cutting down an entire tree is not necessary. Once a cork tree reaches maturity of at least 25 years, the bark can be stripped. This bark is then baked in a kiln to produce an incredibly eco-friendly flooring option. After at least eight years, the bark grows back and can be harvested again.
This flooring type can come in tiles or planks and provides great cushion, sound barriers and is naturally warm. Browse our cork flooring options HERE
